Best takeout with a 6l80e ?

Starting to look for takeout or wreck ls with a 6l80e transmission, I think a van would be the best application for 2wheel drive with the least amount of mods concerning the transmission , If I am correct , what would be the years that the 6l80 trans is available ? Thanks JOHN

A pickup truck, Tahoe or Escalade would also work. Just be carefull on what type of tail shaft you get. Sounds like you are aware of that. I would think you would be looking for something made in 2006 and up.

About 2010 and up in vans will be your best bet for a RWD 6L90e package. There will be some Denali's or Escalades down south where there is no snow, but I'm pretty sure they are rare. Then you have the 2500 pickups with RWD.
