Suggestions for Best In-Line Fuel Pump
I've installed a 2001 Camaro LS1/4L60E in my 32 Ford 3 window coupe. I plumbed a return #6 AN fitting into the fuel tank sender base. I need suggestions on which external fuel pump to install in line near the tank. Can I use the Corvette filter/return line system with an external fuel pump? I know in-tank is the best but i didn't want to cut/weld on my existing aftermarket 32 tank that has been in use with a 350 SBC prior to installing the LS1. Ideally I would like to install a reasonable quite/dependable fuel pump. I read some good press on the Bosch...anyone have experience with this pump? Also I want to use #6 AN fittings with the fuel pump. Any suggestions on brand/model fuel pump/regulator would be appreciated!

I put an A1000 inline on the Chevelle. You may have problems with sucking air if the tank is not baffled properly.You may have to keep it pretty full of gas. I drilled 3 holes and welded a sump in the bottom of my Chevelle tank and the holes and the bottom of the tank act as a baffle. I used the big pump because of the turbos. Fuel system is one thing you should always overkill... Later upgrades may need more fuel.
What brand is you aftermarket '32 gas tank? I have a 'Tanks' gas tank in my '33 and was able to modify the sender to mount the pump since the hole in the top of the tank was big enough for the pump to fit in. Just a thought.

Do you have the specs on the Bosch 044? Pressure and volume? Also, what is a good source to buy one?
During my build, I had a new Walbro 255 that lasted maybe 30 minutes. I replaced it with another, but now I'm a bit skeptical since others have expressed some disappointment with its durability.
I know the Bosch inline pumps are very durable; Porsche used them for years.

Off topic...what air intake tube is that? Id like to possible do something like to incorporate my shaker. Nice build!

Make your car a lot safer and use the AFX snap on PTFE fuel line instead of
the leak prone adapter fittings..with conventional braided line It costs more but well worth the piece of mind..
OHHH And no fuel smell either ... give me a call for a deal ..

If you do mount it external, and pull out of the top of the tank, try to make the pump lower than the bottom of the tank to keep a "siphon" action going as the pumps don’t pull very well.
