boost it , sc ,turbo , nitrous , etc..

4.8's with short stroke ,long rod , small piston love boost hot rod just did 1200 hp stock short block with one , theres a guy on here with a datsun 240z running 8's on one.

also seen some cam/headers/intake trucks make good power on the 4.8

of course cubes are great too !

since you havent gotten replies in here you may want to post in the conversions and hybrids section of this forum - I swear that section of this forum gets more posts daily than all sections of every car forum I belong to combined lately , to say it is active is an understatement!

the 4.8 and 6.0 share external engine dimensions so mounts should be the same , I dont know the answer to your harness butif itsnot identical I bet it needs very little to work . search the post titles in the conversion section and you can find someone that has done exactly what you propose to do and you can see how they accomplished it would be my best advice. 4.8 to 6.0 swap is what I would searchin that section.

The harness will be the same once modified for stand alone. Thats the beauty of mass production!

I say boost it. The 6.0 will get shitty fuel mileage I know first hand. Or buy the 6.0 and boost the 4.8 also. Then maybe swap in the 6.0 with boost or even a 5.3 with boost.
