G Body Oil Pan
G Body Oil Pan I asked this question on the G body swap thread, but have not gotten a answer.
I am building a g body to race, I would like to know what stock type oil pan will work for this? The engine is set back all the way so that the transmission remains in the stock location. Has anyone used the these mounts and what pan will fit?

Have you looked in the Oil Pan sticky?
BTW, I did the same thing (keeping trans in the stock position), and lucked out very well with fitting a Corvette batwing pan in my car. No frame mods.

We are using the cts-v Pan with dingo mounts and no issues. F-body pan set trans too far back. We sell the mounts and pan by the way.

I have searched both the oil pan sticky and the g body swap thread, I have not found a answer that would apply to my build.
bigmandingo you are saying that both the cts and f body will clear the crossmember?
Which pan is the L92? I have a pan from a 07 Avalance, the one with the small plate bolted in the front section.
I have a set of plates that use the original sbc/bbc style mounts.

CTS-v oil pan for me with the transdapt 4595 plates.. Since your probably not going to run a HVAC system the rear number 8 coil wouldn't cause any issues. And the alternator wouldn't be much of an issue either. My oil pan doesn't really hang any lower then the engine crossmember either and has plenty of clearance as well.

Ctsv pan is the best choice . I"ve used that pan on my Malibu I had and I use them on my fox body cars. The c5 pan might work but those wings could cause some clearance issues. They work on the fox body cars with a k member.

03 5.3/ 4l60e combo 78 malibu. I cut 2.5" off truck pan and am running truck intake (notched hood for tb and alt), mechanical fan in stock shroud and a combo of truck and f-body manifolds but couldn't tell you which off the top of my head. std. shared bolt hole plates with urethane inserts in clam shells, can't remember if I used tall or short block (short I think for hood clearance) mounts. bolts mounts to engine and trans w/exhaust manifolds and fan moved everything around til it all fit and tack welded the clam shells to the cross member. Pulled engine, drilled holes big enough to insert 3/8" nuts and flush welded them into crossmember.
Thanks for all the tips. I am looking for a cts setup, called the dealer and got a price. I heard the truck tray is the same, does anyone know if the two truck trays are the same? I have one from a 07 Avalance.
Curious on the oil pan for the cts-v as well. There is a good possibilty that my oil pan is being swapped out for a better clearance one since I have a pan leak.
That being said, any of you guys think that you can jack the motor up enough to have enough room to drop the pan and remove it without pulling the motor? I have just had my trans out being swapped for a new one, all put back together to see a oil leak of the pan right about the cross member and its enough to not want to drive it and risk the thousands and thousands of $$ invested.
