5.3 Alternator with LS1 accessories?
5.3 Alternator with LS1 accessories? I've already drilled and tapped the block, and have the alternator off of my 5.3L mounted in place. I will only be running that and a F-body water pump and tensioner, and F-body balancer. I already have everything but I haven't mounted the balancer or water pump yet.
My question is ........ With the 5.3 alternator in the F-body bracket will the pulley line up where it needs to be or do I need to buy an F-body alternator?

The rear mount is beneficial when mounting on an iron block though I have never tried it without. Check out a late 90's Savana/Express van alternator. It has the rear mount similiar to the LS1, it might fit and it costs much less.
