Default Using Truck Accessories

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, this is a lsx engine in a lsx vehicle but figured this would be the best place to get the answers

Trying to help out a friend and am curious of this myself wether or not you could use truck accessories (such as those from a lq4) in a 93-02 Camaro. Some say there is not room but not sure if they are referring to height from the hood, height with the cowl, or room before hitting the radiator. Know someone trying to do a lq4 swap into a 93 z28 camaro and trying to find out if its possible without buying the expensive f body or vette accessories brackets. This would be a track only car btw

forgot to add I know the oil pan has to be changed to the f body style because of height. Also appears the lt1 motor mounts are different. Seems like others just swap in a ls1 k member. If so could you still retain all the lt1 front suspension (control arms, rack, sway bar, etc?)

also this car would be carbed and a turbo 350/400 trans for racing so no issues with fueling, harness, computers, etc.

The truck crank pulley sits about 1" further out, so if you've got an inch of clearance currently on the front, that won't be an issue. The alternator sits very high, which will probably be an issue with the hood, and the power steering pump hangs off the side a bit, which may or may not be an issue.
