Default Swapping a L31 to a LM7

I've got a 2000 Escalade with the L31 in it, looking to swap it over to a LM7 like the 2002-2005's came with. Can't find much on escalade specific swaps, don't know if i need a new ecu, wiring harness, etc. Any help is better than no help, just looking for a point in the right direction. Thanks!

your ideal swap would be a 1999-2002 lm7 vortec as you can use your original transmission with a spacer and bolt kit sold by gm. You will need the matching pcm and wiring harness to the donor motor. Some 01-02 engines had a drive by wire system so you will also need a throttle actuator control module, pedal, and pedal harness. Street and Performance did a swap into a 2 door tahoe that they posted on youtube which would be very similar to your swap. Good Luck!
