Wiring harness for a 55 Chevy I've got a 55 Chevy I'm wanting to put an LS1 in and have found a 04 GTO engine and manual trans for a decent price. I've been looking for a swap harness and most of them cut off at the 2003 model year.
Is there a reason to go with a 2003 and earlier engine?

The 2004 GTO harness is an LS1 that uses a Green/Blue Drive By Cable PCM instead of the more common Red/Blue Drive by Cable PCM (411). Other than the PCM, a few grounds and different O2s, they are the same. We have both styles of harnesses. If you are interested, feel free to give us a call at 732-691-6531, to discuss.

If your setup comes with the harness and pcm you can rewire the factory harness and use that. The GTO harness is much longer than the fbody harness and you will be able to mount it inside the vehicle.
If it doesnt come with all that you can do a new setup, or if you get just the pcm we have built the harness for that pcm before- even though we recommend using the 12200411 pcm for a drive by cable swap.
