Default 4l60e Custom PRND shift indicator

In middle of 5.3 swap in a jeep cj7 and using a 4L60E from a 2000 silverado. Wondering if anyone has any tricks using the transmission range sensor to make a custom indicator of what gear I am shifted in? I fabricated my own shifter which is like the loker. Was thinking of some way to wire an LED for each position. Is there an output from the pcm for this?

For jborecky. Dakota Digital makes one. About $100 when I bought mine a few years ago.
