I have a 08 ly6 with stock harness is there a plugin solution to vats ?
or must I have a tuner turn it off ?

I see all these vats boxes on ebay , but they seem to all be talking about remote start , I dont have the key but do have the vin

Won't work. Needs to be turned off in the tune. Those parts that they sell for putting a remote start on a new truck rely on all the original parts being there, like the BCM. Not woth the hassle in my opinion. The old F bodies, 1998-2002 you could get a VATs bypass module, but trucks don't use the same VATs system, so in the tune is your only option.
