Can I use the 4l60e trans behind a ls3 engine if not what will be a good od trans for my foxbody swap

I was told it would work because of some sensor on the side of trans I was told a 4l65e hydro would work

Yes, you absolutely can run a 4l60e behind that. Obviously your engine harness needs to be either modified or have a custom harness made for your application.

FOR EXAMPLE If you get an F-Body harness and you decide to modify it to fit, you'll need certain engine extensions and conversion harnesses since the LS3 has a different location for Knock Sensors, Cam Sensor & MAP Sensor.

Your best bet is getting a custom harness made from one of our sponsors. Much easier than dealing with the headache of making sure your harness is perfect. Working with the electrical part of a car can be a royal PITA if you don't have the proper resources
