Edelbrock ignition box

Edelbrock ignition box I just installed the Edebrock Performer intake and ignition box.
The motor spins over and has fuel. But it doesn't sound like it is trying
to fire. Does anyone have have any troubleshooting advice? What would be the best way of checking for fire?

Unfortunately you bought the Edlebrock box instead of the MSD. The MSD box allows you to hook a lap top to it and check for an RPM signal when cranking.
MSD has user forums with trouble shooting guides.

You can simply remove a spark plug and ground it against the engine to visually see if you have spark while cranking the motor. Do one from each side of the engine. Disable the fuel pump while doing this test.
Was this a running engine prior to the swap? More details on the engine and vehicle it's in might be helpful.
Are you certain you have power? How did you hook up the power to the Edelbrock box? Did you use your ignition 12v power wire to trigger a relay with 12v from the battery to avoid any voltage drop? Old car ignition power wires are sometimes resistance wired. You hooked everything up per their instructions and you've conformed power and ground? Is the tach output wire hooked up and if it is does it register anything on your tach?
