Default crazy alternator wiring issue

had my 04 GTO motor for literally 5 yrs running now in my 71 A -Body. answered numerous question on wiring it up. but now i have a crazy issue. my in-line diagnostic bulb used for resistance wont turn off 95 % of the time. then it flickers off for a little. then turns on again and stays on. i changed the bulb. Voltage is over 14.2 at idle and stays high when running. no issues at all except for this light. assuming something in alternator is not shutting the ground OFF when its spinning. any ideas? wierddddddd

Would have to be something is shorting the sensing wire from the alternator to the bulb to ground. A loose or dirty connection would turn the light out. check for chaffed or damaged insulation. i could also be a short in the alternator itself.
