Cool So It Starts

Im am going to be picking up my new motor and trany next week. The lucky pair is from a 1997 camaro with a lt1 and t56 six speed alson in the deal im picking up the full wiring for the cam along with the gauge cluster. There was only 62,000 km on it so realy low. Its a sweet deal for 4600 canadain. ill keep you posted on my progress and try to get some pics for you all.

rem thats canadain price and km. Thats only 39,000 miles on it and it works out to $3,381us so i dont thinks its that bad

Nope, still getting ripped off just a bit...'97 Camaro was an LT1 engine, not LS1. You're getting a regular SBC with a fancy but unreliable ignition system, and reverse-flow cooling.

For that money you can get a '98 LS1 powertrain if you're patient.

the best i have been to find is about 6000 canadain for the ls1 trany wireing and all the extras
