12V power for LS2 E40 PCM?
I searched as best I could and couldn't find a complete answer.
I have the wiring diagrams for the '06 GTO that I got the engine out of, and the complete engine harness. I'm wiring everything up now and hit a snag (one of many when you don't spring for an after market harness!).
I'm not sure if the PCM needs both constant AND ignition power to it, or just IGN power. I've installed an auxiliary fuse block for various things, and the PCM is the last one.
Aren't there systems in the PCM that need to be powered all the time?
Thanks for any help...
Joe

Thank you! That's what I kind of gathered.
I've got 14, 19 (IGN Voltage 1 and 3), and 20 broken out and run to the Aux. fuse panel just in case.
That helps a lot. Have a great weekend...
I'll probably be coming up with some other wiring questions... but for now I think I've got it handled.

Finished up the wiring today but have another question...
I have pins 14, 19, and 20 from the ECM powered correctly with an auxiliary fuse panel. I noticed the TCM for the automatic trans also needs switched power. Does the TCM get it's power from somewhere already, or do I need to tie TCM Pin 31 (PK\BU) into a switched power source also?
Thanks!
