Default fox swap fuel line ???

WOndering if there are any advantages or disadvantages of running same size supply and return lines? I know most people say use smaller lines for return but WHY? I think its not really necessary to run the bigger return line but if you had the material given to you would you? Im thinking of running -8 supply and return stainless tubing thats why I ask. I can get it free at work Any help would be appreciated.

first ? is how much power are you trying to make. What are you doing EFI or Carb.

The return line does not have any back pressure, no injectors to build aginst, it just dumps back in the tank. The supply line is larger so it can feed the engines needs on demand. Return lines are usualy 1 size smaller than the supply line. So if you run -08 supply then run a -06 or 3/8 return line. If you use a corvette filter/regulator then there is no need to run a return line more than a couple of feet ( no need to plumb it all the way to the enginebay and back to the tank) My return line is a -06 and is all of 2 feet long.

sorry its a 70mm turbod 5.3 th400 80 lb injectors a1000 aeromotive fpr. Probably gonna run somewhere between 10-15 lbs of boost. From what I have read from the various searches is most people do 8 and 6 and usually thatll support close to 1000 hp on pump gas. But not on e85. Not going to run 85 so sticking with pump gas.
