The only problem i have with the headers are the passenger side header sits lower then the drivers side (ground clearance). so im going to shorten the runners by 1" and weld it back together but for the price you cant beat it. its a track car, auto cross, drift car!

I live in St. Amant, which is east of Baton Rouge. I'm from Metairie though. Bought a house out here about 2 years ago. Lol....paint your car, i've only painted 1 car my whole life. I wouldn't trust my painting skills on anyone else's car.

progress is really slow, im a 2 man team consisting of me and my 6yr son. at least he is very interested in what im doing!

here are some pics of the header clearance. driver side header sits 3/4 of an inch from the frame rail to the closest runner. and it sits flush with the frame rail underneath the car

Passenger side, not so good, sits about 3/4 of an inch from the frame rail to the closest runner and hangs about 2 inches lower then the frame rail under the car

overall im happy with the fitment for the price. a slight modification to the passenger side header so it will sit higher and it will be good!

got a few more things done today, not much really.

installed my sikky master cylinder.

made a templet for my remote mount oil filter to mount to the side of the block. going to go to my friends shop and have him cut it out for me out of a 1/4 steel plate.

and i very carefully bent the fuel rail so no need for a 90* fitting

thats about it. didnt really have much time to mess with it today plus im still waiting on parts to come in

I'm fixing to move out of Baton Rouge and move to Prarieville, I miss the days when I was building my 240 and not fixing my 240, for the most part its held together pretty well, currently my fan relays werent working and I popped a head gasket, hoping to get it back on the road soon, and trust me my paint job attempt was horrible, if I cant get someone to paint it cheap going to rattle can it.

funny story. i was searching on youtube for ls1 240's and i saw a video of a 240 leaving a shop and going down the street. about a week later my pos pop-a-lock scion broke down. I went to Toyota to order a part and recognized the shop and the street from the video i'd seen. I asked the guy behind the counter if there was a guy who worked here that drove a 240 with a V8 and he said yes. Isn't that ironic lol out of all the videos I could have watched i picked that one.

That's pretty funny, having a lift and working in a a/c shop made finshing the 240 so much easier, and it's a great stress relief at work,

It's had an ls motor in it for about 5 years, first a 408 LSX with nitrous and run mid 9s and now a 4.8 turbo and no times yet... I don't have any pics but there's a good bit of videos on YouTube of it ... Have to get all these swap cars together and hang out one day
