Default Ls1 Ac into Lt1 Evap?

So I am swapping a 99 Ls1 out of a T/A into a 95 Camaro.

I have all of the Ls1 ac lines, but the fitting going into the lt1 evap is different.

Is there anyway a shop will be able to get the two connections to fit by welding or anything?

I want to avoid buying a ls1 evap core (Destroyed the black evap box in my 99 donor) and going through the dash of the 95 and swapping them out if possible. I figure it can be done with all of the custom Ac work shops can do.

Anyone ever do this? I do not have any Lt1 ac lines either.

A good shop should be able to weld the lines together. But from what I have found a lot of them just don`t want to bother with any kind of custom fab work. Are the lines the same diameter or close enough that one could slip over the other? You can actually weld your own lines together with the aluminum welding rod that you use a propane torch for. I would just want to be welding them together with some kind of a slip joint. If the ends of the tubes were just butted together I don`t feel that would be a strong enough weld

My Local Tubing shop was able to take both set of lines and intergrade them together for my Chevelle. So it can be done..

Just check for "Tubing and Hydraulic" shops in your area.

If your LS1 hose is long enough, perhaps you can simply cut off the fitting and have someone like NAPA crimp on the correct fitting. I would think that would be the easiest approach.

I welded a set on my first swap. It was easy and is still working fine years later. Most swaps I just use the lt1 lines but since you don't have them weld them.
