2004 GTO engine harness
2004 GTO engine harness I've been looking at a 2004 GTO engine harness. Wanting to know if I could use it. I imagine it is drive by wire, I would assume I could eliminate that for drive by cable. And can I then use a earlier computer? I'm doing a swap in to a 87 Camaro
the pinouts are different than most. it is a DBC it will only work with the 04 GTO computer or a SSR computer. They share the same setup, but are different from the others. kind of like a red headed step child of the LS1 community.

There is nothing wrong with a 04 GTO harness and PCM. In fact I prefer it over the 411 mainly because it has a faster processor and more memory. It can do everything a 411 can and it has better diagnostics to boot. If you are still afraid you can go to a 411 but you will have to rewire the grounds on the O2 sensors. Going from a 411 to a 243 PCM is pretty much plug and play with a few PCM setting changes.
