Default Fox 8.8 U-joint options

I just swapped my glide for a th400. My current driveshaft has R3 u-joints and the shop who I'm having shorten the driveshaft says the R3's will not put up with hard launches on sticky tires. The are goint to make it a 1350 joint up front, but said I would have to convert my pinion flange to U-bolt type in order to go 1350 out back.

My first question is will an R3 put up with low 10's on a transbrake? Second...what other options might I look at so I don't have to re-engineer the wheel on my diff. Is there another u joint/coupler that is stronger and will bolt up to my stock 8.8 pinion flange?

the 1350 yoke for the 8.8 rear is pretty cheap, I got mine for $65 and it takes 5 min to swap out. While your have the driveshaft out might as well just build it once and be done.

Where did you find one for $65...what kind did you use?

Is it ok to just simply swap the flange? Wouldn't taking it apart screw with preload for the ring & pinion?

I had a local company build my driveshaft and they used regular Spicer joints rather than a swap/conversion u joint. So they were readily available if I were to break one when out of town and able to find one easily.

I ordered my driveshaft for swap project through the Driveshaft Shop and told them what I had (4l80e to to a fox 8.8 rear end) told them my power goals and they recommended I swap out the flat rear yoke flange to the stronger 1350 forged piece. I don't know what brand it is but I got it through them and it came with my driveshaft.
