I wanted to start a thread for my newest project. I picked up a 2006 Mini Cooper S with a blown up engine, parted it out and now have a shell sitting in my garage. I recently picked up a nice JD2 Model 32 tubing bender and several hundred feet of some DOM tubing. I'm about to start cutting away some of the floor to make room for my 5.3 engine, small twin turbo set-up, and a powerglide. I am narrowing a Ford 8.8 for the back with a 4 link and full coil-over suspension. This will not be a street driven vehicle and should be very quick if I can actually get it to hook. I am still very torn as to how to set up the front suspension. I am certainly going to have to move the firewall back 3-4 inches and cut out enough room for the transmission; however, this is not a real issue for me. As far as a cage goes, I'm going to build a 12 pt with two funny car cages. I want to have a passengers seat and scare the pants off of my wife once I get it up and running

. "BUT WHY" is the question I keep getting. And my answer is "WHY NOT!" 450-500 hp, 97" wheelbase and a big tire will make this thing a rocket ship if I can get it to hook and go straight.
Thanks for following along and any input would be greatly appreciated.
