Default LS1 into a 1978 Z28

i have an ls1 out of my 99 camaro. i have 1978 camaro z28 i would like to put it in. i know im going to need the harness and computer and all that good stuff, but i want to know if the motor mounts will bolt up, if the oil pan will clear the crossmember, if the tranny will bolt up (its a 4spd currently) i just want to know that sort of stuff so i can plan the build! give me some insight please! thanks!

You will need motor mounts, headers, cross member if using the 4l60. I used a ctsv oil pan on my swap some guys use the f- body pan. I had no clearance issues. I have not done a swap where I used a manual trans so I'm not sure on your cross member if your using the 4 speed. There are several good second gen swaps on here that give you all the info.
