A body fuel tank
A body fuel tank In the process of figuring out my fuel system. I was originally going to use an external pump so I bought a new tank and sumped it. Now I'm not liking the idea of a loud external pump so I'm tossing around the idea of getting something like the aeromotive phantom setup. Is there going to e any prob if I use the tank that's already sumped? And just plug of the sumped portion with AN plugs? Is there any other kits out there you guys are using? The phantom setup is pretty pricey but I figure I just want to do this once. It's going to feed a stock ls2 out of a tbss with a 228r cam and headers with an ls6 intake.

Some will say otherwise but my personal experience is a stock tank with external pump is all you need. Only thing a sump or baffle is going to buy you is being able to race on an empty tank thats it. I run my tank to E with no issues if I'm just driving normal. I race autocross so I have proven a stock tank works. My welbro external pump is just as quite as my 2002 z71 internal pump. Only time I have heard them both is in the mountains above 9000 feet they both sing very loud. good luck with it.

I second what Rocky said. I'm running my stock tank with a Walbro pump and a Corvette filter/regulator with no problem at all. I'll have to check on the Walbro number, I'm thinking it's a GSL 392, but I'm not sure.
ok thanks for the input. I might keep to my original plan if the walbro pump as described above isn't very noticeable externally mounted. Then save up down the road for a nice in tank setup
