PCM question

PCM question Ok I believe I have a 99 model ls1 because of the coolant temp sensor design. I bought the motor, trans, wiring harness and PCM as a package. The thing is I looked up the service# for the PCM 16238212 and its for a 98. I'm looking at getting another PCM to match my motor and harness what service# do I need to look for thanks for any help...
I'm not sure of the service number, but 99-02 PCM will work. Or any 0411 PCM can be flashed to the 99 camaro tune.
One thing I would double check is the harness itself to verify exactly what you have. If it was a package deal then the harness might match the PCM in which case there is a lot of re-pinning to do to make it a 0411 compatible harness.
Take notice, the 1998 PCM C1 is RED and
the C2 connector is BLUE. The opposite is true for the 1999–2002 PCM. C1 is
BLUE and C2 is RED.

I have a re-manufactured PCM that came with my 1998 fbody pullout (806 heads and three pin temp sensor), and when I looked up the code on the PCM, it was a 1998 PCM. However, it looks exactly like the PCM in the picture on the bottom which is supposed to be a 1999+.
It has a reman sticker on it and the date on the sticker is 2010. It ran according to the place I bought it from, and they said they used the car for a few weeks to run shop errands in. I believed them, but maybe they were really good BS artists (???). I'll have to go look at this tonight.
