Default AIT High, how to cool?

I can see on Hp tuners that my Air inlet temps are high (About 30+deg over ambient). I believe this is because my CAI tube is metal and runs right in front of the radiator and fans.

How can I keep this cool? Header wrap of some sort?

It is unlikely it is picking up that much heat. If you want to test it, wrap it in anything. Shop towels, an old ace wrap, a piece of insultation. Then monitor the temps and see if it fixes your problem.

The problem is most likely the location of the incoming air. Buy a DIY intake kit and relocated the filter to a cooler area.

I actually have a piece of 4 inch pvc pipe. It was supposed to be temporary, but it has been a year. I wrapped it in vinyl that you would cover home-built speakers in.

I can touch the intake tube. Its HOT! Its metal. The location of the filter is sucking air from in front of the radiator, It can't really get any cooler than that.

Then I guess you answered your own question. Here's a fun video on the topic.

That is a funny video. I have a Sec Gen LS Camaro, so there is no factory air box. This video does crack me up, because it's simple physics, cooler air is denser and will create more power than hot air. That's why forced induction systems have intercoolers and metal intakes rob power.
