89 Formula LsX fuel system
It had no engine or trans
It originally had a Throttle Bodie 350 in it with a 700r4
Or that's what the guy who's selling it said
If so cause I knew they throttle bodies then but I never knew they put. TBI 350 in those cars Pontiac or Chevy I thought they were only TPI
What is the deal with the fuel tank
I heard a TPI was recommend something about the right bellows in the fuel tank or something when wanting to do an LSX swap
I'm going to a 5.3
Would this car be ok or would I have to find a TPI car fuel tank
GM only used two tanks for all 82-92 cars. Standard and 1LE baffled. 90-92 cars got the baffled tank (all models) and earlier 1LE cars got it too. Every other 3rd gen has a standard non baffled tank. Dont worry, the baffles dont help that much for cornering, Id use it as-is. Your 89 305 TBI car also got the EFI fuel sender, so thats another plus if its not rusted beyond use. Swap in a high pressure pump and rock on
Formulas were basically a base model firebird, V8 and WS6 suspension. Beyond that basically any combo was fair game. 305TBI, 305TPI, 350TPI, 700R4, T5. There was never a 350 TBI put in any 3rd gen
The guy who has the car said he cut out the sensors but to a point to where you could re instal them
Since I'm going to a 5.3 does that really matter since I'll be buying a painless harness anyways

I knew about having to get a Welbro or some kind or fuel pump to keep up with the 5.3
Any specific I should get
I seen someone say they used a 255 and some said he had like a gS340 or something like that
Not a big fan of this but cause it had blower
There is a 6" cowl hood on it already
I don't assume I will have clearance issues with a 5.3 stock intake manifold

Then he dropped a Blown 350 in it
