Gas Pedal Conversion on a 67 Camaro
I have a 67 Camaro. Converted to LS1 4L60E. A lot of people mention the Lokar cable...what type do you get that fits into a 6 cylinder gas pedal? Any part # or where to buy would be helpful. What's the best car to get the gas pedal out of that goes nicely into a 67 camaro?

I bought a 69 6cylinder gas pedal from firewheel classics. I live in dallas and they stock all first gen camaro parts so it's great for me. I am going to have to cut my carpet down a little. Search Sakos thread and it is explained in greater detail.

My 71 Nova had a 6 cyl so the pedal was a cable pull setup already.. I just picked up a Lokar TC-10000LS cable and just connect it up and bolted it to the firewall.. simple.. If your Camaro has the 6 cyl setup .. you should be good..If not, check the JY for a 6 cyl pedal or order a Repo one from one of the online / Catalog vendors.

I just installed this lokar pedal assembly it is a direct bolt in requires one 5/16 hole drilled in fire wall it was supper easy to install and works great. It is a direct 1/1 ratio the response is instant. It's kinda pricey but worth it IMHO. I went with the all black version it looks oem in my cutlass but works like a modern throttle see link

I have heard a few people try to use the original F-body cable without cruise control. I may try to go this route. Follow my thread over the next month or so and I should get to it.
