LS Upgrade/Swap info needed Tomb it may concern, I am a GM Wholesale Parts guy in Nor Cal. I am trying to put together a list of items needed for LS3 swaps into 98-2007 Camaro, Firebird, Corvette, SSR, TB SS, GTOs & CTS-Vs w/LS1,6,or 2s. GM has Zero,Zip,Nada,Absolutely nothing in new or reman. for any of these vehicles (please forgive me if I missed someone). I currently get 2 or 3 calls a week from dealers or their customers looking for something. There are a bunch of pieces out there to do this but each application seems to have some different requirements.
I amaware of the Knock sensor ext. harnesses and Fuel inj. adaptors as well as others. All of these need the Lingenfelter conversion box for the 24x-58x issue but I need to get some input from you guys so I can do this by vehicle.
GM is not working on a way to do this but I am sure i can get one of the vendors to step up once all the pieces are identified. So chime in here if you have done this with your application and required mods for install.

Come on, I know you guys have some input here. Trying to make it easy for the people needing engines as most of the 100k + engines out there will need a S---load of parts for rebuilds.

Probably because for the cost of a LS3 crate motor and parts needed to install it you can rebuild what you have with a forged stroker kit and add heads cam and intake, or buy a 408 long block from Texas Speed. Also if you want a stock rebuilt motor you can pick one up at the local parts store for under $3000.

Still looking for help here guys! Cheap fixes aside,There are those that wish to replace with new and need help with all of the adaptation ideas. I know that some of you have done this and I am interested in what you had to do. Truth is the new stuff does NOT communicate correctly with the old! Thanks!

Swap I have just finished a lS3 into my 87 SS Monte. Used GM connect & cruise package with all new parts. Its a Corvette with a Monte body. Modifed fuel system and changed orginial wiring to match GM harness suppiled. "NOT" a plug and play as advertised!
