Nicke..........I went thru 3 sets of mufflers to get the car "Quieted" down.......Great Job!!!!

 

I have air bags on the back, and will be putting them on the front as well. Currently the front has 2" dropped spindles, and 13" disc brakes.

The fuel tank is working out great! No gas smell either, and it is parked indoors every night.

 

I'm pretty sure I saw a video of you testing out the airbags on the 'lay it low' forum. Looks great. I'm hoping to go down that path with my '67, funds and patience permitting.

 

Could be! I still only have the rears done. Hopefully I'll be getting to the fronts this winter.

How is the clearance with the Holley pan by the steering center link?

 

Really good. These B bodies have the steering linkage in front of the crossmember, so the pan and center link would never be an issue.

I'm confused, your car is rear steer. The center link is behind the cross member.

 

Does this motor have vvt?

 

Oops! Duh... I been looking at my other car too much recently. Yep, the impala is rear steer. Clearance in the pan is great. Doesn't even come close to the Holley pan.

Ha! You made me think I was crazy for a minute. I was pretty sure all 65-70 were the same up front (I have a 68) and I had to go back through this thread to see where the steering box was.

Anyways, the reason I ask is I am thinking of using the Mast pan. Its about 1.1" longer on the sump towards the center link. Do you think you have 2" clearance with the Holley pan? If you do, the Mast should work fine.

That's cool my motor is also vvt but I installed a cam/spring package from mast motor sports what are u running for gears?

No drone at all on the exhaust. I think it's just the perfect sound too. Not obnoxious, but a nice growl.

So did psi give u a base tune and that's what your running with? I was going to go with that same exact route but since I installed cam, ls3 intake they said I would have to get it Dyno tuned and I couldn't find anyone in my area who would do it . So I'm going with mast ecm, harness since they sell a ly6 with my cam and have the tune spot on its just twice the $! But at least it's plug and go no Dyno tune needed
