Low Vacuum problem? I am running a carburated Ls1 with a victor jr intake, Z06 spec cam in a 1st gen camaro. I only have 13hg of vacuum. This seems low for such a small cam. I am running stock 98-02 f-body brake mastercylinder and booster and have a stiff pedal like not enough vacuum. Is anybody else running a similar combo with vacuum numbers to compare? I think its a very mild combo to have vacuum problems. 
Disconnect everything and plug the ports.. then take a reading.. if still low.. you might have vacuum leaks then.
have you checked for vacuum leaks by spraying carb cleaner at any suspect areas ?

I finally fixed my problem. I checked leakdown, compression, pressurized my intake to ckeck for leaks and found nothing wrong. The fix was in the carburetor. Seems the deal I got at on a new 750cfm 4150 carb was not so good. I had a lot of slop in the throttle shafts, even though it doesn't have any miles on it. I got a billet throttle plate and put the carb back on and 20in hg vacuum! What a relief. Engine idles so smooth and will idle as low as 500 rpms.
