DBW problems p1518 I'm helping out a friend that's swapped in a 2002 5.3 with dbw in his old pickup.
When you turn on the ignition the pedal i dead and it throws the code p1518. If one clears the code (with HPT) the throttle works fine until one turns off the ignition.
What can the problem be?

Just a thought...check your voltage when starting the engine. This code can come up with low voltage. This might explain why it works fine until you turn it off and restart. Depending on where you got the power for the ECM, it could be starving for voltage until the engine is running. Check your grounds to...
