4.8 th400 in a g-body?
4.8 th400 in a g-body? i recently picked up a 4.8 and i plan on using a th400 trans, doing a turbo build in an 84 monte carlo just wondering what mounts to run. i hear good things about brp but they dont offer a crossmember that works with that trans any ideas? anybody else ran a similar setup?

I have an 87 monte ss.Jegs trans crossmember ,Moroso solid mounts and some adapters I bought off of a guy on Malibu racing.I notched Ac box and it's pretty snug against firewall .This a carbed 6.2 with TSP 1 7/8 " headers that fit w/no problem.Still not running but getting close.
Im running a 4.8 with a 200-4r used Dirty Dingo mounts and a stock trans crossmember. I think pretty much any trans crossmember can be used you just have to move it forward or backward on the frame rails. I used the Fbody oil pan plenty of clearance around the firewall. The coil packs just barely hit the AC box i just heated it a bit and pushed it away for clearance.
