We exposed you to all the LS1 240's back in 06 and you're just now throwing an LSx in a lighter chassis? Haha, welcome to the dark side! I think you will deiscover that it is a lot more fun to pull up on people in cars that don't come with an LSx. Plus it's also exponentially more fun to have something everyone doesn't have.

No idea what your trying to claim here. If NB's came with a 1.5:1 lock to lock stock steering ratio, it's in an alternate universe.

My stock 99 NB had a 2.0:1 lock to lock steering ratio. The Mazdaspeed steering rack that replaced it has a 1.5:1 lock to lock steering ratio. The reason that road course drivers prefer 1.5:1 is for reduced steering input @ high speed.

Thank you all. We have been making little tid bits of progress here and there. The Firewall is done and the motor and trans have been test fit (I am sure they will be in and out 15 more times!), and subframes in and rear welded.
Should make a bit more progress but I have been tuning here and there and running crazy hours etc.
Just had a customer 1st time out get really close to a record, another customer of mine has the record! http://www.ctsvowners.com/forum/show...or-9s-on-motor Last week took up a couple of days trying to get it just right.

Waiting on paint and painter was getting the electron blue hopefully later or end of this week. We are changing up the motor mounts to gain some clearance and experimenting with exh manifolds and or headers.......all in time and I am not the most patient!!!!

Mike good to hear from you! I dont know If I ever can swing the new c7 Z06 I think that'll do it for me. I am gonna try to make this thing sick to impress all but theres only so much I can do.....

1994 z28- I dont know anyone worth a pooh? you? jk Hope you are doing well. Ill be out that way on thursday.

Martin (The Ford V8 Miata guy in California) can get you M5 alloy 28 spline half shafts that are extremely strong. Regardless, only time I've broken a half shaft is when launching the car on a VHT prepped track. Have broken 28 Cobra half shafts. Only went to drag races twice. Broke half shafts both times. Replaced after the second time w/ these M5 alloy 28 spline half shafts. You may need to play around outer CV collar spacer thickness depending on how centrally located your diff. housing is. I don't remember the actual length for sure, but remember them being either 7.5" or 7.75" long.

Hopefully, you'll end up w/ the LT headers. Would be disappointing to see the lost HP/TQ (through exhaust manifolds or shorties) after making such an effort to build a strong engine.

BTW, that rear difusser is awesome!

The word is out. Flyin Miata is going to duplicate the LT's I build for my car (but in 1 3/4"). No time frame yet but it's a step in the right direction.

Hey guys back from the dead.....Well at least we've been busy here. Working on your own stuff doesnt make you any money! Shortly after I last posted we traded in our CTSV that we had done a bunch of RnD on and started with the C7. The next Rnd project began with the C7 and that lasted about 9mos and now we are doing RnD on the c7 Z06. We managed to run a 10.27@140 w the C7 in a M7 good for 2nd fastest manual at the time and the Z06 went 9.87@ 141.6 (best Mph) M7 and currently the only one in the 9s.

I am very excited about the progress and we are about 80% complete and parts are coming in everyday. Ran the battery wire and fuel line today, wiring everyday, moving and modifying this and that etc. The guys have been going for about 3 weeks straight day in and out trying to complete the project. WE will be keeping you guys up with the progress. Hopefully about another week and a half left.

We will be running a C6 z06 oil cooler on there to keep the oil temps down during track floggings. Airflow will be directed and controlled so as to optimize cooling, control IATs, use downforce and minimize drag. Many questions for an aerodynamasist friend.

Thank you
