cable TB on LS2 intake?

cable TB on LS2 intake? I am new to ls engines and have a 6.0 iron block i am swapping into a s14, i am getting a ls2 intake manifold, and need a throttle body, i have a F body ls1 harness, so its set up for cable TB, keep in mind i do not have a intake or throttle body in front of me to look at. i have been looking at pictures of cable throttle bodies and they all seem to have a hole in the back centered on top, i am guessing this is for the IAC? and when i see pictures of the ls2 intake snout i dont see a place for this hole to vent to in the ls2 intake, so is it possible to use a cable throttle body that uses a idle air control motor on the ls2 intake? or does that hole need to be blocked off and idle adjusted by the throttle plate? i have done lots of searching and cant see, to find my answer. thanks in advance

Some basic info that you need to figure out is what your 6.0 is. The LS1 is a gen 3 engine with a 24 tooth reluctor wheel on the crank where the 6.0 may be a GEN 3 or 4. If it is a GEN 4 it will have a 58 tooth reluctor and changes will have to be made to adapt the old harness to the newer engine. Also with GEN 4, the throttle bodies are electronics and have 4 bolts holding them on with the LS2. I do know there are 3 bolt to 4 bolt adapters you can use. Do you have any more information about your engine?

Sorry, yeah, the engine is a 05 lq4. I understand the stock throttle body is electronic on that engine, but I am running a cable throttle body and a harness made for a cable throttle body, and I am getting a ls2 intake manifold

Im pretty sure you have the 24x reluctor wheel which will simplify things some, if you want to run a cable which is probably the better choice, have you looked into getting an ls1 intake or an ls6 intake? it would make things easier probably and if you went with the ls6 it would have stock for stock better flow, and the ls1 intakes are dirt cheap now, they are floating around for about a $100.
Have you bought anything yet? already have a TB? unless your getting that ls2 for free or something like that probably best to go with one of the others. But im not sure what you are trying to achieve overall.
for future reference, just post the specific question, and not all the extra info, or you get posts like these.
go online and buy a 4 bolt cable throttle body of your choice. make sure its setup for ls1 tps etc. it will say in the description.
or just call someone that sells throttle bodies, and tell them what you are doing.
