Today was supposed to be the day
I had my drive shaft made on Friday, I installed it today after getting the truck (51 Chevy with ls1 and 4l60e transmission). I installed the shaft put the truck on jack stands and started it, put it in gear and nothing ??? The transmission is not engaging. The linkage is moving, just no response from transmission. Where do i start ?

Well start with the basics- Are you sure there is fluid in it?
Did you try all the gears(D, R, 1,2,3)?
Youve probably done all this but just a place to start. Then I would make sure your getting power to the transmission.

As said above did you check the fluid. Also did the torque converter engage correctly into the Tranz (you put fluid in it before installing the torque converter?)? Is the torque converter bolted to the flex plate (I doubt it.. but seen it happen once when a bunch of us were thrashing to get a car do to goto the track.. someone and not me forgot to put the bolt in for the converter to the flex plate .. made a nasty noise though when we fired up the engine.)?
I'd take the linkage off the tranz with it not running and ensure the shifter linkage is setup correctly also.
What computer system are you using to run the 4l60e? The plug seated well?
Who tuned it.. they setup the ecu for the tranz?
