LQ9 Ordered
LQ9 Ordered So after a bit of searching and comparing and contemplating, I went with an LQ9 out of an '04 Silverado SS and a 4L80E. The motor sounded real good and strong. $3700 shipped to the people doing the car and that includes a harness rework. Maybe not the absolute best deal I could have gotten, but I don't have all day to scour the internet and junkyards to find this thing, so there is a price for convenience.
On Edit: Many people brought to my attention that the '04 SS did not come with a 4L80E and that it was AWD. Change a the to an a and I think the problem is solved!

Indeed. I wasn't sure I'd ever decide on which motor. The guy had a video on YouTube and it sounded phenomenal. So, hopefully it will at least be running by mid-April. Lots of stuff to order too.

Congrats on your purchase, in no way am i trying to rain on your parade, but i seriously doubt that the Trans iis an 80e IF it was removed from a Silverado SS. Those are usually found in 2500 and up vehicles. My Lq9 its outta the very same model in 2006 and had a 60e attached, hopefully you could care less and you're more concerned with the finished product. Have fun with her.
