Value of a 1999 LS1 I have been looking for a long while and have the chance to get a 1999 LS1 out of a Corvette that has all maintenance records and 70K miles. It does not come with the harness, ECU or front accessories , it also has the bat wing pan which I am pretty sure I can not use. The guy is asking $2500 but is open to offers. I want to put it in my 72 Chevelle wagon which will be my daily driver. Is the price out of line?

I bought my 5.3 complete with harness, comp, accessories and gas pedal for $600. It's not a 5.7 but an intake to oil pan bare engine shouldn't cost $2k unless it's got A LOT of go-fast goodies hidden inside.

I am in the Phoenix/Mesa area. Found a 2007 5.3 LY5 complete with 243 heads today for around $1200 and the guy wants to unload it, he doesn't know the milage and the flywheel and manifolds are pretty rusted. He bought it through an auction and that is honestly the best price I have seen for a complete 5.3 lately.
