Carshop setback mounts not lining up. Finally getting back to working on my turbo 5.3 build. This summer i bought the carshop setback mounting plates along with a set of moroso solid sbc motor mounts. From my understanding using the plates should allow me to use standard sbc motor mounts correct? Long story short they are way off. I ended up drilling some holes in them just to get both bolts in so that i could put the car in storage with the motor in the car. Ive attached photos of the mounts and you can clearly see im a long ways off, am i doing something wrong? To me it looks like the thickness of the carshop mounts is placing the motor mount to far from the block not allowing the holes to line up. I think I might buy the dirty dingo adjustable muscle car mount and see if that works.
