Default Power Steering Reservoir Location

I would like to place the power steering and radiator overflow reservoirs on the passenger side firewall.

I really don't see a problem with the radiator reservoir but what about the power steering reservoir? I will be able to located it so the fluid level will be high than the pump, actually a little higher than the factory reservoir was. I'm concerned about the length of the supply line. It will be a -10 hose but it will be about 8 feet long. It's a stock pump on an LS2, street car.

Tried to find some examples here but didn't get very far.

You think there will be any issues here?

Shouldn't be an issue, for years circle track race cars have mounted the pumps on the diff and drove it with a pulley on the yoke, typically we mount the reservoir near the driver side firewall with an engine driven pump, another foot or two shouldn't be a problem with the right sized hose.

I wouldn't think it would be a problem, but not sure it will look right. Also keep in mind that the return line from the PS box also needs to be run to the reservoir

What part do you think would not look right? The reservoirs on the firewall or the line hose routing. I've seen cars with all kinds of gizmos, reservoirs etc, mounted all over the engine compartment.

Hmmm, maybe I should also be asking, has anyone done this? Has anyone seen this done?

The line from the pump to the reservoir. Not sure how you could route it so it doesn't look odd. Plus the return line, so there's two hoses that need to be routed around the engine. You could hard line it, that would look better, but I've seen noise problems from a lot of length of hardline in power steering hoses. Pump to reservoir wouldn't be a problem.

My plan was to route the hoses along the firewall just above the bellhousing, under the master cylinder, then hide them between the fender well and fender, then straight out to the pump. From the fender to the pump is where I was hoping it wouldn't look odd. But the original plan was to mount the tanks on the driver's side radiator support. The hose would have been hanging out there too. I just need see some examples to help me visualize.
