"I wasn't aware that all the ECU's had the VVT software. Thanks. So I should be good with a generic 58x harness and generic E38 ECU."

I wasn't either. But after talking to John at Speartech I decided to go with the 2011 Corvette program for my 2007 Escalade L92 motor. He activated the VVT for me. I had to buy a new E38 ECM with the revisions that would work with the later program.

So if you go that route get an E38 with the proper service number to match the year of the software you are going to use. Basically you cannot use a generic E38. GM has made revisions along the way for improvements. Also make sure the harness you get is from a vehicle that has a motor with VVT. I think the one you mentioned does.
