o2 senser type location
I have read you all having a wideband o2 senser for tuning and running
a gauge. Where should this senser be installed and is it in addition to the narrowband the PCM uses or is it installed instead of one of these sensers.
Which side should it be on? I plan on using HP tuners for tuning. I understand the concept of rewiring the EGR input to the PCM for a senser.
So, I guess my main question is, 3 sensers or 2?
Thanks in advance

I use HP Tuners pro and made my wideband portable by adapting the power side to the lighter port. I've never done the EGR thing but I've been told it works well, I just never had a need to hard wire one to a car.
I like and build street only cars or sleepers so I don't need or desire a wideband in the car at all times. I install a third bung and only use it when tuning, then cap it when not in use.
As a personal preference I like the wideband sensor on the passenger side bank so I can run the wideband sensor cables under the passenger side door. The "better" side to run them on is often dictated by the exhaust routing of your specific vehicle.
Of course this is my personal experience and opinion. Others may have different ideas that work for them.
