Default Low cost "alternator-only" bracket/adapter...

Hey all:

Made a couple of these for local guys and get lots of requests, so I thought I'd post it up here and see if there's any interest.

I came up with an adapter so you can run the F-body alternator bracket on a truck motor. Fits any of the alternators with the standard truck/F-body bolt pattern.

In the pic its using an F-body water pump and spacers, but it works with any of the truck-spacing water pumps. You can run it with or without the LS1 idler pulley.

Locally at least, seems like a lot of guys have F-body alternator brackets lying around. Price would be right around $49.00 shipped with hardware. I can source the F-body bracket alt bracket and sell them that way also for $70.00 extra, so not bad even if you have to buy the bracket.

I put them on the site, but I'm running them off Monday, so they'd be able to ship later on this week.

Coupon Code: Ls1tech.com is good for $5.00 off web price.

F-body Bracket Adapter Alone - $49.99

F-body Adapter with alternator bracket - $119.99

LOL, great minds think alike I suppose.

What bracket is that? Did you machine off the idler pulley boss or is there a bracket that doesn't have one?

“That” is the completely original mounting bracket that I thought up, I designed, I made wood mock ups of and had made by a friend for my Nova swap over 2 years ago. Elegantly simple and effective don’t you think? Well of course you do.

And yes I did remove the idle pulley mount by hand. It was a lot of work but looked much better.
