a few intake questions a little background 01 lm7 putting on a 01 ls1 intake from a T/A
1. what are the brass sleeves in the mounting bolt hole?
2. what size freeze plug can be used to fill EGR hole on manifold?
3. Which TB is better the ls1's of the lm7's ?

The brass sleeve is probably there to keep you from cracking the intake by tightening the bolts too much. The plug in the link below will look a lot better than a freeze plug.

If the truck intake can clear the hood, run it. It makes the best power for the least money than all of the OEM intakes and matches the after-market fairly well (or betters them) up to 5500rpm or so. Plus, they look good shaved and painted...

For the EGR, the freeze plug to use is the Dorman 555-093 which is 35mm which fits nice and snug in the 34.9mm hole. I also glued mine in place and made a retainer plate out of scrap aluminum held in place using the bolt hole in the intake.
