Default 1970 Nova LS1 Swap

Hi Guys,
I need some help. I am doing a LS Swap in my 1970 nova, I can see the finish line but I am having problems connecting the power steering box to a LS series pump. Does anyone know which lines to use on a 1970 Nova?

PLEASE HELP!!!!

If I remember correctly, you just need a MM to SAE adapter on the pump and you can use your nova hose. It's been awhile and I have hydraboost now, but I think that's what I did at first.

Your original hose is probably an inverted flare fitting.
The ls pumps are 16mm o-ring fittings. Find a fitting that adapts and you'll be fine.

they make metric o ring fittings with a #6 AN if you want to use/make up stainless lines

If you make stainless lines, make sure they're PTFE instead of basic rubber, or you'll have an explosion of fluid the first time you turn the engine on. We're talking hydraulic pressure here.

I bought steel -6AN power steering hose ends, and the o-ring and inverted flare fittings from Fragola and some bulk hydraulic hose and made my own lines, though they don't swivel like I'd like but I'm managing.
I'm running hydroboost too, but the same philosophy will apply.

I had a pressure line made using AN fittings, but it's expensive. You might think about upgrading to a 3rd gen Camaro F41 box (info here - see post 8). It's a great, cheap upgrade.

For the return line, use Edelmann PN 39135 ($5 at rockauto), which is a 90° bent hard line with 3/8" inverted flare fitting, and a piece of PS hose.

I went to the local hydraulic hose shop and had them make a custom pressure side hose for me.
