Default parts needed for swap

Hello,
I’m sure that it is on here somewhere but when pulling an engine what other components will I need for a swap?
Donor vehicle – 03 Escalade ESV
Swap vehicle – 70 C10 short stepper with front and rear C4 suspension.
Parts I think or know are needed – engine, ECU, manifolds, trans will be out of an 06 2wd Chevy. I don’t know if I will be able to use them but I will grab the drive shaft and hydro brake assist.

Thanks in advance,
Mike

Grab everything that you can, every nut, bolt, bracket, connector, wire, fuse boxes,hoses-everything.It is a lot easier and cheaper to have it now and get rid of what you don't use later.

Thanks. I will grab everything that looks like I'd need it. I was mainly wondering about the smaller items that may get overlooked. You know the things you look back and say "crap I wish I would have pulled that too"
If my research is correct this should be an LQ9 so I will also need to get the gas pedal? Are there any other things associated with drive by wire that I need to make sure that I pull? This truck is 2.5 hours from my house and I will have future access to it if needed but would rather get it all in one trip.

The short answer is: grab E V E R Y T H I N G

The more you can get out of the doner vehicle, the better off you will be. There are different ways to do a swap, but I prefer to use all the stock parts I can. For instance, I used an LS2 from a GTO, which came with the engine harness and computer. In addition to that, I got a body harness with fuse boxes too. This allowed me to rip out ALL the old wring from the '65 and use the GTO stuff to run the radio, headlights, tail lights, windows, etc. So whatever you can grab, take it.

As far as drive shaft...99.9% sure that won't help you. However, when I had my driveshaft shortened, I did have them make it so that the proper generation yoke would attach to it. So grab at least the yoke if not the whole shaft.

Don't forget the gas pedal and TAC module (small black box next to the brake booster) and the wiring between it and the pedal. You can also use the hydroboost, you have to modify the rod and mounting bracket, but it's not hard to do and they work way better than vacuum brake boosters. I put them on all my builds.

Dave - Thanks I'll grab as much as I can. I have been building and changing and rebuilding this thing for 5 years.. I have a full Painless harness for it but may gut the one out of the Escalade just incase I need it.
LS1nova71 - Just read thru your C10 build - Damn was that a sweet truck! I have slowly moved my way to building my own frame with C4 front and rear IRS, LQ9, will also have power heated seats, tilt and telescopic steering out of an old Caddy, decided not to use my factory tach picked up a sweet VDO set up, Power windows / locks and keyless entry. I will now make sure to pull the rear view mirror out of the Escalade. I also plan on using your idea for the spacer needed on the hydroboost as well as your extended AC box!! Any additional ideas you can pass on? Anything you would have done different added or skipped on your build?

Another question. When I started the Escalade it would only run for 30 seconds or so then it would shut down. It sounded good while running. It has under 80k on it but has been sitting after being rear ended 2 years ago.. Should I be worried?
