Hi,

I'll have a fairly bare 2005 LS2 this weekend and swapping it in place of an early 5.3(LM7). Will the following work:

Water pump
Crank pulley/balancer
A/C compressor bracket
Oil pan/windage tray/dipstick/etc.

Also 2005 Corvette LS2 should be 24x right?

Most if not everything should bolt up on the LS2 for the front end Accessories as they should have the same bolt pattern. One different is the Iron block has one missing threaded boss as compared to that of an aluminum blocks do. So you should be ok.

AC bracket /compressor may or may not as I have found the do have different bolt/lug pattern on the bracket and compressor.

Check the color of the Crank sensor. IIRC
Black crank sensor = 24X Reluctor Wheel
Gray crank sensor = 58X Reluctor Wheel

So the harmonic balancer of the 5.3 will work on the LS2 until I can buy a fancy one?

I mean, even though it will /bolt up/ will it "dampen" appropriately for the later motor?
