Default wiring harness help.. gurus get in here

So here is my dilemma I've got a 98 fbody ls1 with harness and ecu I extended the harness and got rid of what I don't need. I ran my fused wires (coils, injectors, maf, and ecu) however when i was doin the wiring I cut the commons off (that piece where all the pink wires go to and then spread out it looks like heat shrink) so the wires that where ign on c connectors are not fused, because they went to that common which is cut out and I dont see what those ign wires are good for. Anyways I tried to start the car but its not getting anyspark. It's got power at the coils and injectors but when I check for power on the red cable for the camshaft sensor its got no power whatsoever. Was I supposed to connect the positive wires from the and camshaft crankshaft sensor to 12v switch or ecu? Or did I ruin my harness by not using the ign wires from the c connectors?. Any input on what I should do? I'd like to be able to use my harness because money is kinda tight right now.

I'm not quite following what your saying, but ALL pink wires should be switched 12 volts and fused. The orange wires are constant 12 volts and fused as well.

The cam, and crank power is indeed 12 volts, however it is generated by the ecu because the sensors need a stable voltage.
in that ecu blue j1-2=12+
j1-21=low ref
both sensors can be powered from the same pins. Steve
