Default 06 5.3 build

I'm building a 5.3 to put into a x frame 62 or 63 belair and i know for fitting purposes I need a f body oil pan and I have to relocate the alt and p/s . Instead of buying a aftermarket set up couldn't I use the accessory brackets off of a ls1 ??? If anyone could shed any light on this that would be greatly appreciated .

You could, but then the truck stuff will also fit, at least it did on my buddy's 59. Even the truck intake clears the hood.

I'm trying to keep from having to cut anything , but if I decided to go with a ls1 intake wouldnt I have to move my accessories ? Also I'm doing a cam swap what would be a good set of lifters, values, and springs to go with and the most affordable place ro get them.

Waterpump neck will be in the way of the throttlebody if you switch to a car intake. On the older cable-operated TB's, you can just take a ball peen hammer to the waterneck and dent it slightly where the TB touches. I thiiiiiiink the truck motors after 2002 do not have cable TB's, so I don't knwo what kind of clearance issue there would be on your motor.

I believe its factor drive by wire but when I got the motor it didn't have the tb or maf that was the main reason I wanted to switch over to the ls1 intake . I can get one out of my local yard for $80

Or do you think it would just be easier with the truck intake
