Do i need a fitting in CAI Sorry for the *** question guys. I recall seeing CAIs with a nipple and a hose on them between the MAF and TB, is this really necessary ? Where does if feed to?
I am using a LY6 motor with LS3 intake and TB and I haven't researched what I NEED to run for a PVC system. I do realize I need to run a catch can (any votes for best?) but I am unsure if I need to swap out the truck valley cover for the LS3 VC. DO I really need the port in the valley cover?
Any input would be appreciated greatly.

Nipple is used to connect a metered (measured by the MAF) fresh air line to a valve cover. Fresh air inlet; part of a properly routed PCV system.
Port in valley cover is the alternate crankcase vent (LS6 style PCV system), as opposed to PCV crankcase vent @ rear of DS valve cover. Can use either location. So, you don't absolutely need the valley cover port, but is the preferred vent location.
