3rd Gen Swap: Exhaust question

3rd Gen Swap: Exhaust question Not sure what I should do yet on the exhaust. I know I'm going to have to put in the post-cat O2 sensors to pass emissions (no sims!).
Should I find a pair of 4th gen cats, and then fab the y-pipe back to the muffler?
OR, should I just fab the y-pipe right off the exhaust manifolds to my existing dual-cats?
I'd like to hear the pros and cons to both options, both theoretical, and from anyone who has done it.

true duals on a thirdgen leads to either a ground clearance crisis or taht jacked up monster truck look that was fashionable in the 70's

easiest thing to do is fab up a Y adn put a single cat at teh end of it in the stock location. then you can jsut use whatever cat back you have or any off the shelf set up.

Yeah, 3rd gens and true duals just don't mix. 
My dual cats and cat-back exhaust have less than 2k miles on them...... if I just run a y-pipe, then I might as well run it to the dual cats I've got as to get a single cat.
But, this still doesn't tell me if I'd be better off doing that, or getting a pair of stock 4th gen cats & O2 sensors.
